As a photographer, there are few things more rewarding than documenting friends, especially when it's an engagement session and an upcoming wedding. I recently had the privilege of capturing some very special moments between Danni and Mitch during their engagement session, and I can't wait to continue this journey with them as their wedding photographer later this year.

From the moment I met Danni, I knew she was someone special. Her infectious energy and genuine warmth made it clear why Mitch had fallen for her. Over the years, I've watched their relationship blossom, witnessing their shared interests and adventures strengthen their bond. Whether it was golfing, bowling, curling, or simply enjoying each other's company, it was evident that they were meant to be together. As their relationship deepened, so did the anticipation for a proposal. Danni's subtle hints and not-so-subtle nudges only added to the excitement, but Mitch, being true to himself, waited for the perfect moment. And around their fourth anniversary, Mitch asked Danni to spend forever with him. And of course she said "YES!"

The day after the proposal, I received a text from Danni asking "GUESS WHAT?" Deep down I had a feeling like this had to be the time, this had to be the moment. Me being well me replied with a "What, Chicken Butt?"Only to get a photo of Danni and Mitch toasting and her supporting some serious bling on her finger. I couldn't have been more excited to see the shiny new rock on her finger! As it was "About Damn time!" haha. She later asked if I would be their wedding photographer. To say I was honored would be an understatement. Being entrusted with capturing the beginning of their journey as husband and wife is a responsibility I cherish deeply.

The engagement session for Danni and Mitch held an extra layer of significance as it took place on Mitch's family farm, a piece of land that has been in their family for over a century. This historic backdrop added a unique and deeply personal touch to their photoshoot, making it an unforgettable experience to be apart of.

Stepping onto the farm, it was impossible not to feel the weight of its rich history. The rolling fields, weathered barns, and sprawling landscapes spoke to the generations that had tended to this land before Mitch. As we wandered through the property, each corner seemed to tell a story about the hard work, and dedication that had been poured into it over the years. For Mitch and Danni, the farm holds a special place in their hearts—it's not just a piece of land, but a symbol of family roots and a glimpse into their future.

When taking photos of their engagement session against the backdrop of the farm, I couldn't help but imagine how their lives are going to change on this land. One day they will have children running through these fields, and they will be raising the 5th generation to farm this land! Honestly how amazing to have a place that has such a strong a sense of belonging that comes from having deep family roots in the soil. It felt like I was capturing more than just moments in time— more like immortalizing a legacy, preserving memories that would be cherished for generations to come.

As we ended the session surrounded by the beauty and history of the farm, Danni and Mitch took a moment to look at the place that they call home , it was clear to me that their love is as timeless as the farm itself.

Cheers to Danni being the future Mrs. Frost, and to Mitch for getting one heck of an amazing Fiancé.
